Taintree House
|
Taintree House is on Heathfield Road in Audlem,
near Nantwich in Cheshire. It is not known when the house was built but the
deeds go back to 1742. The house used to be known as the Manor House until 1874
when it was renamed Taintree House - this comes from "twain tree"
after the beech trees in the grounds.
Anne Mangnall (HM184) and her daughters lived at
Taitree House and ran a school there.
Further information on Audlem is available on the Audlem
Village Net and on the Cheshire
Parishes web site.
